Ceri Rocca
Co-Founder – The Sew Bee-Cause Foundation
Ceri grew up in the North East of England in a large ‘Geordie’ family, where she first learned to sew on her grandmother’s sewing machine as a child.
Driven by a passion for art and design, Ceri earned her degree in 3-Dimensional Design majoring in Interior Design. She ran her own successful design business and traveled globally for client projects before relocating to Dubai in 2016.
Bringing her deep creative expertise and lifelong love of sewing to the non-profit space, Ceri co-founded The Sew Bee-Cause Foundation to channel artistic craft into meaningful social and environmental change.
Fahmida Seitz
Co-Founder – The Sew Bee-Cause Foundation
Transitioning from the corporate world to social impact leadership, Fahmida holds a degree in Digital Technology, Design, and Innovation.
Her passion for community-led action found its true purpose when she set out to create a sustainable movement centered on textile upcycling, women’s empowerment, and period dignity.
Combining strategic vision with digital innovation, Fahmida co-founded The Sew Bee-Cause Foundation to turn grassroots volunteer action into a scalable force for menstrual equity and environmental stewardship.
Leading the Hive Together
As co-founders, Ceri and Fahmida lead The Sew Bee-Cause Foundation as a true partnership. Side-by-side, they guide volunteer workshops, design and assemble complete Angel Wings© care kits, and drive the “Sew Empowered” programme.
By combining their complementary strengths in design, technology, and strategy, Ceri and Fahmida work together with corporate partners and community volunteers to break down period inequity and divert textile waste from landfills—one stitch at a time.
